Dr. Kim Van Dusen is a mom of two and the CEO/Owner/Founder of The Parentologist, a Southern California lifestyle and family brand about everything parenting with a therapeutic twist. She has a Master’s in TV Broadcasting and Marital and Family Therapy as well as her Doctorate in Psychology. She is a Licensed Child Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, Professor, Public Speaker, Blogger, and The Parentologist Podcast host. Dr. Kim is a writing contributor for many publications including L.A. Parent Magazine, Yahoo!, TODAY Parenting, and Very Well Family. She also has had appearances on national television for Merit Street Media and can also be seen and heard locally on FOX 5, CBS 8, ABC 10, and KFI 640AM. Dr. Kim is currently writing her first non-fiction parenting book that will be published in May 2026.
