Four years ago, after a decade long career pause to raise her three children, Stephanie DiPisa launched Solara Suncare, an award-winning mineral sunscreen-meets-skincare brand to solve a need for her children's skin allergies and her own personal health journey with Lyme + Autoimmune Disease. The brand's mission is to give zinc-based skin protection an overdue wellness centered upgrade using the power of clinically-supported botanicals, adaptogens and skincare technology formulated specifically for sensitive skin, our health and the planet.

Privately female + family owned, Solara's products have been featured by celebrity makeup artists, dermatologists and estheticians as well as celebrated in Forbes, Vogue, Allure and many more. Today, the brand that Stephanie's children actually named, now has two collections and is seen on a wide range of shelves from its Luxe Collection at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Blue Mercury to its Go! Collection at Target and Whole Foods.

Stephanie launched Solara, her first entrepreneurial venture, at 40 years old, in her "second life" -- and as someone with no background in the beauty industry. Prior to pausing to raise her family, she held senior leadership positions in the NYC agency world working with blue chip brands in baby-, home- and feminine-care. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree from its College of Architecture + Urban Studies.
